The INSTALLATION of NOSTOS at SIGNAL GALLERY

The debut of the film 'Nostos' was accompanied by an installation at Signal Gallery on July 2nd-4th.

For the installation the gallery floor was covered in grass sod and nine sculptures, each representing a section from 'Nostos', were showcased at the entrance.

One hour and eleven minutes before each showing a video of a sunset slowly turning into stars would be shown accompanied by the ambient sounds of the night from Lakeville, Minnesota. Extended samples from the record were also played at sporadic intervals.

The debut showing of  'Nostos'  was shown at 10:49:36 pm on July 2nd. After the film had finished Otium came out from behind the screen cut his hair, put it into a golden bowl, then performed "When You Wish Upon a Star" while the credits rolled.

Subsequent showings occurred over the next two days at 3:33pm and 7pm.
